Laurence-Hovenier is also capable of meeting Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements through procurement of lumber, hardware and truss materials through DVBE and SDVOSB-certified construction materials suppliers.
In the past, most of LHI’s work was derived from residential repetitive phasing (tracts) or large single phase projects of multi-family apartments and condominiums. This allowed us to streamline material quantities and integrate operational procedures that benefitted the clients with competitive pricing and expedited construction schedules.
Though the largest portion of work used to be derived from single family homes, Laurence-Hovenier has evolved itself into full-service, wood specialty contractor capable of completing very complicated projects on any scale. Projects have included sound stages and catwalk systems for a major film studio, the stage floor for the Kodak Theater, multiple additions at local theme parks, schools, large college dormitory projects, ski lodges, and assisted living facilities across the state.
From engineered roof systems, demising walls, mansards, and mezzanines to free standing wood-framed commercial and industrial structures, LHI has been very successful in combining production techniques with the complexity of commercial projects. Reference lists of current client, supplier, and banking contacts are available upon request.
